We reached Munich about noon and the first place we head to is Marienplatz after checking in our hostel. This is the old town square.
Neues Rathaus, the new town hall, but still quite old already.
Its time for lunch and we head to the Viktualien Market to find food. People find foodstuff in this market since centuries ago during King Ludwigs time i assume.
A shop selling different kinds of hams which i find amusing.
As you can see, vege ham, blood ham, eggyolk ham.. wah, looks disgusting.
But i tried some free sample of some sausages and ham, taste quite ok.
My lunch in munich, Laberkas with bread (minced meat loaf), and Kartofelsalat(potato salad).
Taxi in Munich are all Mercedes Benz! 2nd uncle's old E class is used as taxi.
Germany sure got German sheperd ma.
After lunch we went to Maximillan Platz, a square dedicated to Emperor Maximillan.
The one sitting and poiting towards the sky is Maximillan and the building behind him is the New Theatre.
Hofgarten, a garden next to the square.
After that we head back to town hall to see the famous Glockenspiel
The Rathaus Glockenspiel, a mechanical clock which will animate and the characters will dance with the music. However, the clock was under renovation and did not function very well. It ended with 3 chimes from the golden bird on top.
Hofbrauhaus, most famous beer hall in Munich, frequented by many important people like Adolf Hitler in the past.
