Salzburg, Austria
First, we checked in to our hostel in Salzburg. Its away from the city and thus we have to take a train there.
After reaching the station, we still have to hike up a steep slope to the hostel.

Fortunately it was worth the hike and we reach Haus Linder.
The house is runned by a couple of old Austrians and they decorated this guesthouse like their own home....

With nice decorations and furnitures

Fantastic view from this hill side guesthouse

Girls admiring their room.

Dining area where we had breakfast

Not bad for a hostel
The owner and her family lives downstairs.
Our next destination, Mirabell Garden, made famous by Sound of Music

Fountain with Hohensalzburg, the fortress as backdrop

At the Salz River

Getreidegasse, the old town area. A 15th century law make vendors to put up copper billboard and the law remains until today, making the street a special attraction.

Birthplace of Wolfgang Mozart, he lived on the fourth floor of this apartment.

Mozart, born 27th January 1756

But nowadays, Mozart is more famous for his chocholate

Mirabell Mozart balls.

Many mistaken Austria for Australia. No kangaroos in Austria!

Fortress Hohensalzburg, where princes of the Holy Roman Empire lives and protect themselves from enemies. The only time it lost its ground was to Napoleon when the inhabitants surrendered the fortress without a fight.
